A person and a girl died in an obvious murder-suicide inside a Walmart retailer in Georgia, police mentioned.
The capturing occurred round 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Walmart Supercenter on Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway in Hiram, a city about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta.
Hiram Police Chief Michael Turner mentioned the person and girl died on their method to the hospital. Their names weren’t instantly revealed.
“This was not an energetic shooter. This was somebody who knew another person, and there was a previous relationship of some variety,” Turner mentioned, in keeping with WAGA-TV.
Nobody else was injured within the capturing.
“We’re deeply saddened by what occurred at our Hiram retailer tonight,” Walmart mentioned in an announcement. “Our precedence now could be the security of our associates and clients. The shop will stay closed whereas we work with legislation enforcement throughout the investigation.”
